Consultant/Senior Consultant Statistician (2 positions)

 

The Housing Strategies and Stock Modelling team develop a range of modelled indicators based on the current housing stock.  The data and accompanying reports are the basis of a well-established and respected business. Our customers are predominantly local authority officers responsible for housing, public health and domestic energy efficiency policy across the whole of the housing stock but with a focus on the private sector.  The team’s main focus is therefore to provide modelled indicators of house condition, the health impact of homes, energy efficiency and households in fuel poverty.

Housing Consultant (Analysis and Modelling)

 

Meeting Government targets for CO2 emissions, monitoring the level of fuel poverty and bringing all social housing up to a decent standard are all key areas of research within the Housing & Energy Group at BRE. Housing Consultant (Reporting)

 

We are looking to recruit a Consultant to contribute to the work of the Housing Stock Performance and Energy Modelling teams. The teams are responsible for: the analysis of data from the English Housing Survey (EHS), the delivery of annual EHS report, the delivery of the annual fuel poverty statistics and other ad hoc reports. The work includes data validation and complex data modelling using SPSS statistical packages, as well as Excel, Word, Power point. Report writing is essential for this role, which will require you to possess or develop an in-depth understanding of government housing and energy policies, and be able to analyse and interpret survey data.
